Assistant Manager - Finance (Regional Tax & Treasury)
We are looking for a qualified finance professional with strong practical knowledge of taxation & treasury to support our operations across ASEAN & South Asia. Based in Singapore, the candidate will take ownership of Singapore tax compliance, oversee subsidiaries’ tax compliance with country finance teams, and manage regional liquidity, banking & funding requirements. The role also includes management reporting & statutory audit coordination. The candidate must be able to independently assess tax & treasury issues, identify risks, recommend practical solutions & follow matters through to completion. Key Responsibilities Taxation & Regional Compliance Own Singapore GST, Corporate Income Tax, withholding tax & Transfer Pricing compliance.
Review subsidiaries’ tax positions, filings & outstanding matters with country finance teams & local tax advisers.
Assess the tax implications of cross-border transactions, including software licences, cloud services, services & intercompany transactions.
Review withholding tax, treaty relief, indirect tax & permanent establishment considerations before transactions are committed.
Manage intercompany agreements, cost allocations & Transfer Pricing documentation.
Maintain a regional tax compliance calendar & ensure timely closure of tax queries, assessments & audits.
Treasury Manage regional cash visibility, rolling cash flow forecasts & liquidity requirements.
Review working capital needs & coordinate funding across operating entities.
Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, utilisation, renewals, covenants & related documentation.
Coordinate intercompany loans, fund transfers, repayments & associated tax requirements.
Monitor foreign currency exposure & recommend hedging actions within group policy.
Maintain controls over payments, banking access & authorised signatories.
Reporting & Audit Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual management reports, variance analysis & board reporting.
Review subsidiaries’ financial results, working capital & key balance sheet movements.
Coordinate statutory audits & ensure reporting meets applicable standards & group deadlines.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field.
CA or an equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with substantial practical exposure to both taxation & treasury.
Strong working knowledge of Singapore tax requirements & demonstrated experience handling regional tax matters.
Practical experience in cash forecasting, working capital funding, bank facilities, foreign exchange & intercompany financing.
Experience working with finance teams across ASEAN and/or South Asia is required.
Ability to review unfamiliar country tax issues with local advisers, challenge assumptions & provide clear recommendations.
Strong analytical, Excel & communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
Experience in IT distribution or cross-border trading is preferred.
