Professor - High School Program (Reserve List) - Maceió

In accordance with the institutional charisma inherited from the founder of Rede Damas, Me. Agathe Verhelle, the professional will develop activities in the High School program, where through joint and participatory actions, they will contribute to an ethical and fraternal society.

Responsibilities and duties Plan and develop classes for the High School program, curricular and extracurricular activities; monitor student development, prepare projects, assessments, and reports, among other activities.

Requirements and qualifications The subjects offered in the program are: Computers, Health, British/American Literature, American History, American Government, Fine Arts, Public Speaking.

Computers:

• Degree in Letras or related fields with teaching certification
• Knowledge of the PBL – Project-Based Learning methodology
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of the history and impacts of informatics/technology on society; computational thinking and cybersecurity; knowledge of programs and applications.

Health:

• Degree in Letras or related fields with teaching certification
• Knowledge of the PBL – Project-Based Learning methodology
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of themes related to health in general and its impact on individual well-being and society.

British/American Literature

• Degree in Letras or related fields with teaching certification
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of English/American Literature; literary analysis; improving reading comprehension, oral language, and writing skills based on British and American literary works; developing general linguistic skills, as well as supporting the construction of cohesive and coherent writing.

American History:

• Degree in Letras, História with teaching certification, or related fields
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of the main events in US history and the main characteristics of American society, including the people and events that laid its foundations for today. Covers historical, geographical, political, economic, and sociological events that influenced the development of the United States and its impact on world history.

American Government:

• Degree in Letras or related fields with teaching certification
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of the United States government, from its fundamentals - both theoretical and historical; origins and foundations of the US government; the constitution, federalism, and the three branches of power: legislative, executive, and judicial; the political process, civil liberties and rights; elections and the electoral process; foreign policy and state and local governments.

Fine Arts:

• Degree in Letras or related fields with teaching certification
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of the PBL – Project-Based Learning methodology
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of arts in general; facilitating, through the arts, the exercise of critical, collaboration, communication, and creativity skills.

Public Speaking:

• Degree in Letras, Comunicação, or related fields with teaching certification
• C2 linguistic level certification in the English language
• Knowledge of public speaking; developing an understanding of the basic principles of oral communication, as well as working on skills in research and organization of effective speeches.
