Supply Chain Intern - Nsp
Our client, a leading global specialised chemical manufacturer, is seeking Supply Chain Interns (NSPs) to join its team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – West Africa, and working under the guidance of the Supply Chain Assistant, the intern will provide administrative and technical support to site clients and the internal team. The role will support the availability of products in the right quantity and quality, and at the right time, to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Responsibilities;
Support the Warehouse team in complying with the company’s QHSE policies and procedures and promptly report any observed safety or quality concerns to the Supervisor.
Assist with the proper arrangement, identification, and segregation of products in accordance with company standards.
Assist with stock integrity checks by comparing physical stock quantities with system records and reporting any discrepancies identified.
Support the monitoring of product shelf life and promptly bring products approaching expiry to the attention of the Supervisor.
Assist with raising requests for shelf-life extensions for products approaching their expiry dates, as directed.
Support the relabeling of products following approved shelf-life or expiry-date extensions.
Assist with stock count exercises, including physical counting, recording of stock balances, and reconciliation of identified variances with DHL and the relevant site.
Support the receipt and dispatch of stock in accordance with company procedures and assist with updating transactions through the ERP system under supervision.
Assist the Warehouse team in identifying and reporting warehouse-related issues, including leakages, repackaging, and chemical refilling requirements, for appropriate action.
Support the timely preparation and dispatch of products to sites based on approved call-off requirements.
Assist in liaising with relevant user departments to obtain and clarify product requirements and specifications, under the guidance of the Supervisor.
Support the collection and compilation of information on fuel prices and transporter price reviews for management review.
Assist in maintaining and updating relevant cost and operational tracking records and support the documentation of identified cost-efficiency opportunities.
Support the tracking and documentation of chemical refills dispatched to sites.
Assist with the management and organization of local stores, including PPE, safety items, equipment, and spare parts.
Assist with picking and PGI (Post Goods Issue) processing in the ERP system under supervision.
Perform other warehouse-related duties and assignments as may be delegated by the Supervisor to support the efficient operation of the warehouse.
Assist all procurement assigned activities/tasks
Support Product Importation and Clearing
Assist with Vendor invoices and payment tracking
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
Minimum Six (6) months - three (3) years’ experience in the same or administrative/Operations role.
Strong social skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must reside in Accra
