Responsibilities and assignments

About the position We are looking for an Import Assistant to work in the planning and organization of consolidated maritime import cargoes. This professional will be responsible for assisting in the assembly and monitoring of consolidations, maintaining daily contact with international agents via email, and ensuring the best cargo composition within the containers. All of this accompanied by the management of the department. The position is ideal for people who enjoy analysis, organization, international communication, and the challenge of assembling the "logistics puzzle" involved in cargo consolidation.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and organization of consolidated maritime import cargoes.
• Perform daily contact with international agents and partners via email.
• Monitor shipment forecasts and cargo availability for consolidation.
• Analyze container composition opportunities aiming for operational and commercial efficiency.
• Update internal controls and operational systems.
• Support the monitoring of shipment schedules and logistical connections.
• Ensure alignment and information flow between origin, internal teams, and others involved in the process.
• Check operational and documentary information related to consolidations.
• Identify possible inconsistencies or operational risks and report them to leadership before they occur.

Requirements and qualifications

• Ongoing or completed Higher Education in Foreign Trade, Logistics, or related fields;
• Intermediate English for reading and writing (daily use);
• Good analytical capacity;
• Organization and attention to detail;
• Sense of responsibility and commitment to deadlines;
• Ease of working with a large volume of information;
• Good written communication;
• Basic knowledge of international logistics and/or foreign trade.

Differentials

• Experience in cargo consolidation (LCL).
• Experience in freight forwarding, NVOCC, or maritime import operations.
• Knowledge of foreign trade processes and international logistics.
