Commercial Accountant (Oracle ERP)

Our client is a leading chemical provider. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a  Commercial Accountant to support and strengthen their Finance team. They are located in the  West – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Commercial & AR Finance: Partner with Sales to assess customer deals, pricing, rebates, payment terms and profitability; support business cases and margin improvement initiatives while supervising daily AR operations.
• Credit Management: Review customer credit applications, recommend credit limits, monitor credit exposure and AR ageing, and support collection strategies and working capital reviews.
• Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing: Handle month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, intercompany reconciliations and management reporting, including audit schedules and FX translation.
• Contract Governance & Management: Review customer contracts and commercial terms from a finance perspective, monitor pricing validity and rebate agreements, and ensure appropriate Finance approval prior to contract execution.
• Management & Subsidiary Reporting: Review reporting packages submitted by subsidiaries, validate financial information and provide accurate financial data for management review and decision-making.
• Process Improvement & Digital Finance: Support Oracle enhancements, reporting automation, finance digitalisation initiatives and continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Min Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Min. 5 years' experience in AR and Commercial Finance or Management Accounting
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
