Private Client Paralegal

The Role
You will play an important role within the Private Client team, assisting with a varied caseload of matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge further by working on more complex estates and Wills, with support and supervision from experienced colleagues.
Experience in Court of Protection matters would be advantageous but is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their private client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the preparation and administration of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Handling estate administration matters with minimal supervision, including the preparation of HMRC forms.
- Drafting estate accounts and assisting with Court of Protection matters where required.
- Supporting the administration of complex estates and Wills.
- Managing a varied caseload under appropriate supervision.
- Providing a professional and compassionate service to clients throughout the process.
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in private client matters, whether you are an established Paralegal, an experienced Legal Assistant or currently studying towards a CILEx qualification.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a private client legal role.
- A sound understanding of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration.
- The ability to manage your workload effectively and work with a degree of autonomy.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A professional, client-focused approach and a genuine desire to develop your legal career.
Previous Court of Protection experience would be beneficial, but it is by no means essential. The firm is keen to consider candidates with a strong private client background who are looking to expand their experience.
