Overview
A well-established and highly respected business within the property sector is on the lookout for a NEW Part-Time Management Accountant in Tunbridge Wells. The business has built an excellent reputation locally and offers a friendly and professional working environment where your contribution will be genuinely valued.
This position will see you acting as the key point of contact for the company's finances before year-end review by external accountants, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and delivering meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making.
This role is office based, working 3 days per week (10:00am - 5:00pm).
Salary is circa £37,000 pro-rata plus excellent benefits. Higher salaries may be discussed.
Duties
- Prepare and post month-end adjustments including accruals and prepayments
- Manage payroll journals and reconcile PAYE accounts
- Oversee preparation and submission of group VAT returns
- Allocate and split invoices across group entities where applicable
- Perform intercompany reconciliations
- Calculate and apply fuel scale charges in line with HMRC guidelines
- Process and manage partner drawings
- Compile and provide year-end financial information to external accountants
- Deliver monthly profit and loss reports with commentary
- Post letting income recorded via external software into the accounting system
What we're looking for
A successful candidate for this role will have experience with similar responsibilities, be confident at using the software Sage and live within a reasonable commute of Tunbridge Wells.
