Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer

Location: Harlow Salary: £30,000 to £32,000, plus paid overtime and additional unsocial-hours payments Term: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm, with occasional early starts and late finishes

Our client supplies premium equipment for high-end events and leading brands. They are looking for a practical, personable Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer to deliver equipment and help bring event spaces together. Driving a Luton van across the UK, including London, and very occasionally into Europe, you'll deliver, unload and position equipment, assemble furniture and make sure everything is set up to the client's requirements. You'll represent the company on site, so a helpful approach, clear communication and pride in your work are essential. Event plans can change at short notice, making this a varied role for someone who enjoys solving problems and thinking on their feet.

The role of Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer:

• Drive a Luton van to deliver event furniture and equipment across the UK, with very occasional trips into Europe.
• Load, unload and move equipment carefully, protecting its condition throughout delivery and setup.
• Position equipment within event spaces, following instructions and client requirements.
• Assemble and dismantle items using basic tools, with practical skills similar to building flat-pack furniture.
• Provide professional, helpful customer service on site, communicating clearly and responding calmly to last-minute changes.
• Liaise with the commercial and warehouse teams about collection times, delivery arrangements and setup instructions.

To be successful in the role of Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer:

• Hold a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving a Luton van, including in London and over longer distances.
• Be confident speaking with clients and representing the company professionally.
• Have a practical approach and be comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Use your initiative to solve problems and adapt when plans change.
• Be able to carry out the physical duties of the role, including loading, unloading and moving equipment.
• Be reliable and flexible about occasional early starts, late finishes and time spent on site between setup activities.

The salary and package for the Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer role:

• £30,000 to £32,000 per annum.
• Paid overtime.
