Finance Manager

Salary Range: $9,000 - $12,000 + PB Working days: 5 days, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:30PM Location: Tuas (one ways morning transport provided)

Manage treasury and financial planning activities to support the company’s manufacturing and trading operations. The role covers cash flow management, banking facilities, foreign exchange hedging, budgeting, forecasting, costing analysis and finance system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Manage daily cash positions, cash flow forecasts and working capital requirements.
  • Monitor receivables, payables and funding needs to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
  • Manage banking relationships and coordinate the application, renewal and utilisation of banking and trade finance facilities.
  • Review financing costs, facility terms and utilisation to optimise funding arrangements.
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure and execute approved hedging strategies in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare treasury reports covering cash positions, borrowings, facility utilisation and foreign exchange exposure.
  1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting and management reporting.
  • Analyse revenue, margins, operating expenses and business performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify key financial trends, risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Prepare financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning and investment decisions.
  • Partner with operations, sales and procurement teams to improve profitability and working capital efficiency.
  1. Costing & Variance Analysis
  • Review and maintain standard costing for manufacturing operations.
  • Analyse material, labour and production overhead variances, and investigate discrepancies with relevant teams.
  • Review product costs and margins to support pricing and cost control decisions.
  • Recommend improvements to costing accuracy, inventory controls and reporting processes.
  1. Finance Systems & Process Improvement
  • Support or lead finance system and ERP implementation, upgrades and process improvements.
  • Work with internal teams and system vendors on requirements, testing, data migration and implementation.
  • Improve financial reporting accuracy, efficiency and internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain finance procedures to support effective treasury and financial management.

Requirements

  • 7–12 years of experience in corporate treasury, commodity trading treasury or a bank’s corporate FX/rates desk.
  • Strong hands-on FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Experience in foreign exchange hedging, banking facilities and trade finance.
  • Hands-on experience in finance system implementation and standard costing variance analysis.
  • Comfortable working in Tuas and providing support beyond normal working hours when business needs require.
