Supply Assurance Buyer – Manufacturing #HYN

Join a manufacturing environment in a role focused on ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production. This position combines purchasing, material planning, supplier management and inventory control, making it suitable for candidates with experience in supply chain operations within manufacturing.

Job Description

• Execute MRP requirements and review forecasts and exception reports to ensure timely material supply.
• Work closely with suppliers to secure delivery commitments aligned with production requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively follow up on outstanding deliveries.
• Expedite materials and resolve shortages to minimise disruption to production.
• Manage purchasing and supply-related issues including quality notifications, engineering/change requests and supplier returns.
• Coordinate goods receipt and invoice discrepancies with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and material master data within the ERP system.
• Monitor inventory levels and support initiatives to optimise stock and minimise holding costs.
• Work closely with production, planning, quality, warehouse and suppliers to resolve material-related issues.
• Ensure purchasing and supply activities comply with established processes and procedures.
• Review supply risks and take proactive action to maintain continuity of production.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, planning and supply assurance processes.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting electronics, mechanical components or assemblies will be advantageous.
• Experience with MRP, material planning, supplier delivery management or production planning.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be advantageous.
• Good analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and resolve supply issues in a timely manner.
