Your tasks
Job Scope
- Review medical records and assign accurate DRG and casemix codes
- Code inpatient discharges, day surgery and clinical procedures
- Ensure coding is completed within required reporting timelines
- Liaise with doctors to clarify incomplete clinical documentation
- Support coding audits and accuracy checks
- Assist with coding enquiries and departmental reporting
Requirements
- Min Degree in Nursing / Healthcare
- Relevant experience in clinical coding, medical records or healthcare documentation preferred
- Knowledge of DRG / casemix coding advantageous
- Able to interpret medical terminology and clinical records
