Senior Network Engineer_Contract #IKR

Your tasks

• Core Function: Lead network engineering activities across project delivery, integration, testing, and customer deployments for complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) and mission-critical systems.
• Architecture & Design: Design and implement secure, high-availability network architectures, infrastructure solutions, and security-compliant network configurations.
• Documentation & Planning: Develop comprehensive solution designs, detailed network documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), test procedures, and integration artifacts.
• Deployment & Testing: Configure, validate, and deploy networking equipment in both factory and customer environments while supporting system integration and troubleshooting.
• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance, task prioritization, mentoring, and rigorous quality oversight for small engineering teams.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify technical risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies alongside alternative engineering solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with project stakeholders to ensure on-time project delivery while strictly adhering to engineering standards and processes.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of network engineering experience working within complex, software-centric, or mission-critical environments.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Technical Certifications: Professional Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent credentials.
• Core Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in network architecture, infrastructure design, routing, switching, and robust network security protocols.
• Technology Stack: Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies paired with practical knowledge of Linux/Unix environments (Red Hat preferred).
• Automation & Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (such as Shell, Perl, or TCL/TK) is considered highly advantageous.
• Leadership Capabilities: Proven track record of leading small technical teams and successfully managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
