Scrub Nurse #HJN

Duties: Assist surgeons and the surgical team during various surgical procedures by providing effective scrub and circulating nursing support. Prepare the operating theatre, surgical instruments, equipment and sterile supplies before procedures.

Perform surgical scrubbing, gowning and gloving while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and sterile fields.

Handle and pass surgical instruments, sutures and other supplies to surgeons during procedures.

Conduct surgical counts of instruments, needles, swabs and other items before, during and after surgery.

Monitor and maintain the sterility, cleanliness and safety of the operating theatre environment.

Ensure proper handling, documentation and replenishment of surgical instruments and supplies.

Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and safe surgical operations.

Job Requirements Valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration and BCLS.

Previous experience in an operating theatre, scrub nursing or perioperative nursing will be an advantage..
