QC Supervisor

Job Summary An opportunity for an experienced Quality Control professional to take on a hands-on supervisory role within a regulated manufacturing environment. You will lead a team of QC Technicians, oversee daily inspection and testing activities, support production continuity, and ensure quality processes remain compliant with applicable regulatory and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor QC Technicians performing inspection and testing of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products.
• Plan and prioritise daily QC activities to support production schedules and material/product release requirements.
• Review and resolve QC-related issues escalated by technicians to minimise production delays and downtime.
• Drive productivity improvements within the QC team, including waste and scrap reduction initiatives.
• Work closely with Production, Planning and Supply Assurance teams to coordinate inspection priorities and material/product release.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of relevant SAP transactions associated with material and product release.
• Prepare and consolidate monthly QC reports for quality trend analysis and management review.
• Develop inspection plans and review QC data to monitor process and product quality performance.
• Ensure QC procedures and processes comply with ISO 13485, MDSAP and applicable regulatory requirements .
• Establish and maintain inspection and testing procedures, protocols and work instructions where required.
• Represent QC in New Product Introduction (NPI), product transfer and Lean improvement projects.
• Coordinate QC project deliverables to ensure inspection and quality-related activities are completed according to project timelines.

• Candidates from medical device, diagnostics, life sciences or similarly regulated manufacturing environments with strong knowledge of inspection and product-quality processes.
• Individuals comfortable coordinating across Production, Planning, Engineering and Supply Chain functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience within Quality Control or manufacturing quality, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory, team-lead or technician mentoring experience would be highly advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 13485 and regulated quality-management requirements; exposure to MDSAP is advantageous.
• Experience with raw material, in-process and/or finished-product inspection and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve operational QC issues.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.
• Exposure to NPI, product-transfer, Lean or continuous-improvement projects would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
