Perm Trade Finance Executive- Commodities Trading ($5-7K) #BYR

Location: Raffles Place, Singapore Our Client is a Small Company Setup with great flexibility at work. About the Role We are seeking a Trade Finance Executive to support physical commodity trading and Trade Structured Finance (TSF) transactions across regional operations. The role will manage day-to-day trade finance, banking and documentation activities , primarily supporting coal trading transactions. You will work closely with banks, buyers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely financing, accurate documentation, settlement and collection. Key Responsibilities Trade Finance & Banking Handle the issuance, advising, transfer and amendment of Letters of Credit (LCs) , including transferable, back-to-back, sight and usance LCs.

Prepare and submit applications for trade financing, import/export loans, bill discounting and other banking facilities.

Liaise with banks on document presentation, acceptance, financing, payment status and bank charges.

Monitor financing costs, payment timelines and banking-related matters.

Commodity Trade Operations & Documentation Coordinate and ensure timely submission of trade and shipping documents.

Arrange courier delivery and track original shipping documents.

Monitor shipment schedules, LC presentation deadlines, expiry dates, payment due dates and collection of proceeds.

Liaise with buyers and suppliers on document releases, payments and outstanding matters.

Trade Structured Finance (TSF) Support the execution and administration of Trade Structured Finance transactions .

Prepare and coordinate transaction documentation, bank correspondence and other supporting documents.

Monitor receivables, payables, bank charges and transaction margins.

Ensure transaction documents and financing arrangements are aligned with approved terms and internal authorisations.

Identify and escalate documentation discrepancies or potential transaction risks promptly.

Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate records of contracts, LCs, financing arrangements, shipping documents and bank correspondence.

Assist with bank KYC reviews, audit requests and supporting documentation.

Ensure adherence to internal approval procedures and applicable banking and compliance requirements.

Requirements Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business or a related discipline. At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in trade finance, commodity trading operations or banking trade services. Experience in coal trading and/or Trade Structured Finance would be advantageous. Good practical knowledge of Letters of Credit, transferable LCs, documentary collections and trade financing . Familiarity with UCP 600, ISBP and Incoterms . Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.
