Manufacturing Cost & Inventory Accountant #HDC1

Strengthen Manufacturing Cost Control & Financial Accuracy Join a dynamic manufacturing finance team in a hands-on role focused on cost accounting, inventory management and financial analysis. You’ll work closely with production, warehouse and finance stakeholders to maintain accurate product costs, monitor manufacturing variances and support month-end and year-end activities. Key Responsibilities Support cost accounting and inventory-related activities for Singapore manufacturing operations.

Prepare and maintain product costing for new product introductions, product transfers and other costing changes.

Assist with the annual standard cost update and ensure product costing data remains accurate and current.

Review manufacturing work order variances, identify underlying causes and coordinate appropriate corrections.

Analyse purchase price variances and work with relevant teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Support scrap reporting, review and reclassification to ensure costs are accurately reflected.

Assist with month-end closing activities involving manufacturing costs, inventory and product costing.

Prepare Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis and provide supporting reports for management review.

Work closely with warehouse teams on inventory control and the Cycle Count Programme.

Participate in physical and cycle count activities, including reviewing and validating count documentation.

Perform financial, costing and inventory analysis for ad hoc business requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse and finance teams to improve cost accuracy and inventory controls.

What You’ll Bring Relevant experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, management accounting or a related finance function.

Sound knowledge of product costing, inventory accounting and manufacturing cost processes.

Practical experience investigating manufacturing variances, including work order and purchase price variances.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable working with cross-functional teams across finance, manufacturing, supply chain and warehouse operations.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyse and interpret financial and operational data.

Able to manage competing priorities and deliver accurately within month-end and reporting deadlines.
