Locum Sonographer #HJO

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established clinical protocols.
• Conduct general ultrasound scans including abdominal, pelvic and other relevant examinations based on clinical requirements.
• Ensure proper patient identification and verify examination requests before procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure appropriate image documentation.
• Review image quality and identify when additional views or imaging may be required.
• Maintain accurate patient and examination records.
• Work closely with radiologists, doctors and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and management.
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning and basic care of ultrasound equipment.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography, Medical Imaging or relevant qualification.
• Relevant training and hands-on experience in Sonography / Ultrasound.
• Able to perform ultrasound examinations independently.
• Good knowledge of ultrasound techniques, anatomy and imaging protocols.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Meticulous with good attention to image quality and clinical documentation.
• Able to work effectively in a healthcare environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
