Gas Detection Field Service Engineer #HJN

Duties:

• Perform start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing and warranty repairs for breathing apparatus and related equipment.
• Conduct inspection, testing, repair and functional verification of breathing apparatus and safety equipment.
• Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes and carry out appropriate corrective actions.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and equipment turnaround.
• Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating with Service, Logistics and other departments.
• Liaise directly with customers on technical issues, service requirements, equipment status and delivery schedules.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians or service personnel when required.
• Support service projects, equipment improvement initiatives and emergency response activities.
• Prepare and communicate technical findings and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Adhere to Workplace Safety & Health requirements and participate in relevant safety activities.

Requirements

• Min Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or any relevant qualifications.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in field service, maintenance or engineering roles.
• Experience within the Oil & Gas, Process, Semiconductor or Electronics industries is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
