Building Facilities Technical Officer ($4000 | East) #HJO

Job Responsibilities Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) for building facilities and equipment according to assigned schedules. Troubleshoot electrical faults, reinstate power supply and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence. Troubleshoot air-conditioning system faults and restore systems to normal operation. Perform general building and facilities maintenance, including repair of burst water pipes and mechanical systems. Support maintenance and troubleshooting of medical gas systems and other facilities equipment. Attend to breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance promptly to minimise operational disruption. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities, servicing and repairs. Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors for maintenance and repair works. Monitor maintenance activities and provide updates on equipment faults, outstanding works and corrective actions. Ensure maintenance works are carried out in accordance with safety requirements and established procedures. Requirements Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or related discipline; candidates with relevant technical training may be considered. Hands-on knowledge of electrical, air-conditioning, mechanical and general building maintenance. Experience in hospital, healthcare, commercial building or facilities maintenance will be advantageous. Good coordination and communication skills when working with contractors and vendors.
