Your tasks

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, enhancing and maintaining Avaloq banking solutions, with particular emphasis on ABR/S core components, transaction processing frameworks, parameterization, mobile banking integration, API development and banking platform upgrades.

• Develop, customize and maintain core banking components within the Avaloq Banking Suite (ABR/S).
• Perform hands-on development using Avaloq Script, SQL and PL/SQL, including debugging, performance optimization and code refactoring.

• Configure and enhance Avaloq business transaction types, including CLT, PAY, XFER and STEX.
• Implement and maintain Avaloq frameworks such as Consistency Checks, Order Validation, Life Cycle and Sequence Workflow (LSWF), Migration and Business Unit Configuration.

• Perform Avaloq parameterization and implement customized banking functionalities according to business and technical specifications.
• Develop and enhance APIs supporting integrations between the Avaloq Core Platform and mobile or web banking applications.

• Configure client onboarding workflows, banking process parameters and customized interface components.
• Implement and maintain Avaloq Data Warehouse components, including customized data extraction tasks.

• Conduct root cause analysis, defect resolution, unit testing and integration testing for Avaloq applications.
• Support Avaloq release upgrades, source-copy activities, environment builds, deployment validation and go-live implementations.

• Work with Avaloq development and customization tools, including Avaloq ICE, ADAI and SQL Developer.
• Collaborate with banking technology, application support and integration teams to resolve complex platform issues.

• Support implementation and maintenance activities across SaaS, BPaaS and on-premise Avaloq environments.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

We are seeking a highly specialised Avaloq Core Banking Developer with hands-on expertise in the Avaloq Banking Suite, ABR/S core development, Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, banking transaction processing, workflow customization and Avaloq platform integrations.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Avaloq Banking Suite development or customization experience.
• Practical experience developing or maintaining ABR/S core banking components.

• Strong programming proficiency in Avaloq Script, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on Avaloq parameterization, banking transaction configuration and business process customization.

• Technical understanding of Avaloq transaction types including CLT, PAY, XFER and STEX.
• Experience with Avaloq frameworks such as Consistency Checks, Order Validation, LSWF, Migration and Business Unit Configuration.

• Experience troubleshooting, debugging and optimizing Avaloq core banking applications.
• Knowledge of Avaloq release management, upgrades, source-copy procedures and go-live support.

• Experience using Avaloq ICE, ADAI and related database development tools.
• Understanding of banking systems integration, application interfaces and API-based connectivity.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

• Avaloq Certified Customization Professional certification.
• Experience working on Avaloq ABR/S core development or maintenance.

• Experience implementing Avaloq Data Warehouse modules and custom extraction tasks.
• Knowledge of mobile banking integration with the Avaloq Core Platform.

• Experience supporting Avaloq SaaS, BPaaS or on-premise deployments.
• Experience supporting banking technology platforms in wealth management, private banking or investment banking environments.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Agile delivery methodologies.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an Avaloq development specialist with deep technical knowledge of Avaloq core banking architecture, customization frameworks, transaction processing and application integration. The role requires substantial hands-on Avaloq development expertise rather than general Java, .NET, database or banking application support experience.
