Assistant Manager, Manufacturing | Food Production

💰 Up to $6,000/month 📅 Permanent Position 🍽️ Established Food Manufacturing Company

Excellent opportunity for an experienced food manufacturing professional to take ownership of production operations, manpower, equipment reliability and plant improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations and ensure production plans are achieved according to customer requirements
• Drive production efficiency across output, speed, downtime and wastage
• Ensure finished products meet required quality and food safety standards
• Lead, supervise and motivate the Production team
• Optimise manpower deployment and identify training and development needs
• Ensure production processes comply with statutory, customer, corporate, ISO and internal requirements
• Lead the design, installation and qualification of new or modified production equipment and process lines
• Establish and maintain equipment maintenance programmes
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime
• Review production and maintenance risk management including ERM, BCP and workplace safety
• Lead cross-functional plant improvement projects covering cost savings, energy savings and productivity improvements
• Support production trials and new product launches
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
