application support analyst (weekends, shift) #IKR

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications within a fast-paced technology environment. The role involves analyzing business requirements, developing scalable solutions, managing application releases, and providing production support to ensure system stability, performance, and availability. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements and translate them into technical specifications and application solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, robust, and high-performing applications.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Perform impact assessments and feasibility studies for new developments and system enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment guides, and support procedures.
• Ensure adequate unit testing, system testing, and code quality standards are met before deployment.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for production and non-production environments.
• Investigate and resolve application issues through code analysis, log reviews, database queries, and system diagnostics.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability.
• Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and stability improvements.
• Support incident, problem, and service request management processes within agreed service levels. Manage application releases, deployments, patches, bug fixes, and system enhancements across multiple environments.
• Raise and coordinate Change Requests (CRs) and ensure compliance with organizational change management procedures.
• Support release planning, deployment scheduling, implementation activities, and post-deployment verification.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth deployment and minimal business disruption.
• Ensure all production changes are executed in accordance with established lifecycle methodologies and risk management guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with business users to understand requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Work with project managers, developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), production validation, and application enhancement initiatives.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, application issues, and implementation status to stakeholders.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in application development, application support, and system analysis.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Shell Scripting, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and application deployment processes.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or similar.
• Familiarity with API integration, microservices, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
