Production Supervisor (Leather Finishing) | Up to $4,500

Responsibilities: Supervise daily production operations in the leather finishing department, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery according to production schedules. Oversee leather finishing processes, including seasoning, special finishing, felt polishing and glazing. Lead, guide and manage a team of 50 or more production staff to achieve production targets and maintain operational efficiency. Ensure finished leather meets required colour specifications, finishing accuracy and quality standards. Work closely with the Dyeing, R&D, Planning, Quality and EHS teams to resolve production and quality issues. Monitor production parameters, identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to improve product consistency. Manage chemical inventory, coordinate replenishment and minimise material wastage. Coordinate preventive maintenance and report machinery faults to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Support R&D trials for new finishing recipes, chemical formulations and production techniques. Train operators on new processes and ensure compliance with work instructions, risk assessments and safety procedures. Maintain proper chemical handling practices, workplace safety and housekeeping standards. At least 5 years of relevant experience in production finishing within a manufacturing environment. Strong technical knowledge of production finishing processes, machinery and related techniques. Proven supervisory experience managing and developing a large team of 50 staff or more. Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
