Due to a temporary need for increased capacity within the Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WTA) Team at the Certifying Unit, we are looking for an inspector for certification. As part of a team, the inspector will be involved in assessing type approval applications for WVTA, System, and Emission certificates in accordance with EC and UNECE legislation. Additionally, the inspector will serve as a sparring partner for RDW inspectors and provide expertise and insight where necessary regarding client-specific issues. This can take place both remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate possesses the following competencies and skills: knowledge of and experience with the vehicle homologation process, knowledge of EU regulations for the automotive industry, proficiency in the English language in speech and writing, and the ability to switch quickly between dossiers and various parties worldwide.

• HBO/WO working and thinking level.
• At least 5 years of professional work experience.
• Solid technical background in automotive engineering, with specific knowledge regarding complete vehicles, vehicle systems and/or emissions and the EU and UNECE type approval methodology.
• Thorough understanding of the requirements and guidelines regarding WVTA, STA and/or Emissions.

Desires

• Preferably a technical education (e.g. automotive technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science).
• Preferably knowledge of Emissions and T- and L-category related regulations.
• Knowledge of and experience with assessing emission tests and new technologies is a plus.
