About the company

RC Mekena is building a premium retail and technical service business in Yerevan. We are launching our online store first, followed by our showroom and service workshop, planned for Q1 2027. We are the agent for the most prestigious global leaders in our field. We are a young, ambitious company with a well-developed plan for growth, and we bring international professionalism to everything we do. The person who joins us will help build the service side of the business and develop a broad set of transferable skills.

Your tasks

Purpose of the Role We are developing this person's expertise, not hiring it ready-made. The role begins as a flexible launch and setup position supporting the Director, and matures into ownership of the RC Mekena service department as the Technical Service Lead. All aspects of Customer service comes first throughout.

Stage 1: Launch and Setup

  • Support the Director across the setup of our office, online store, e-commerce operation and physical store.
  • Assemble and test products as they arrive from suppliers, including builds for display and for learning how each product works.
  • Learn our entire product range: how each model is maintained and repaired, the spare parts catalog and which parts fit which models, and the performance upgrades available. Help build our initial spare parts inventory.
  • Help set up the service department, including the workshop, its processes and its equipment, such as our 3D printer and 3D scanner.
  • Take on ad hoc tasks as the business needs them. These will include technical work and general setup tasks, and the scope will change as we grow.
  • Support customer enquiries as our online business begins to trade.

Stage 2: Service Desk Ownership (Technical Service Lead) Once the service department is established in our physical store, the role takes on full responsibility for the service desk and service department:

  • Run the service desk day to day, serving walk-in customers first come, first served and managing a calendar of customer appointments.
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs and servicing across our entire product range, including diagnosis, setup, tuning and the fitting of performance upgrades.
  • Operate the 3D printer and 3D scanner to scan parts and produce in-house repairs.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including stock checks, preventing shrinkage (loss) and raising replenishment orders.
  • Administer manufacturer and RC Mekena warranties in line with Armenian consumer protection law.
  • Communicate with service customers, recommend relevant spare parts, performance upgrades, products and services, and work toward sales and service targets suited to the role.
  • Customer service comes first. When sales colleagues are occupied, step away from the desk to greet and guide customers and carry out sales.

Across Both Stages

  • Customer service is our top priority in every part of this role. We are in the service industry, and we understand customer service broadly: telephone, online and in-person enquiries, general and sales enquiries, closing sales, the service desk, repairs, and every other interaction with a customer.
  • Present professionally in the company uniform.
  • Take part in training and performance reviews. The role includes a probationary period.
  • Travel abroad to suppliers for brand repair and service training if required. Costs would be covered by RC Mekena.

Our 3D Printing Workflow In-house 3D printing is a key part of how we repair and customize. You will work with the full workflow, from physical part to printed result:

  • Scan: capture the part with a 3D scanner.
  • Refine: clean and repair the scan using CAD and mesh editing software.
  • Print: prepare the file and produce the part on an advanced multi-material 3D printer.

Requirements

  • Advanced certified training in electronics, embedded systems or robotics, or a degree in a related field.
  • Verbal and written Fluency in Armenian, Russian + conversational proficiency in English.
  • Basic understanding or working knowledge of CAD and 3D mesh editing software (for example Solid Edge, Blender).

Desirable

  • Interest in hobby electronics, mechanics, and building or modifying motorized and electronic products.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical repair of consumer-grade products, including soldering and building or repairing electronics.
  • Some exposure to 3D printing or scanning.
  • Previous customer-facing experience.

Key Competencies Customer-first mindset, initiative and self-motivation, willingness to work flexibly across technical and general tasks, strong learning ability, good time management, attention to detail, clear communication in three languages, and reliability.

What we offer

The role progresses to Technical Service Lead, with greater authority and higher compensation, once the service department has been successfully set up and developed. Progression is based on performance and is not automatic.
