Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the company’s electrical engineering and electrical installation projects from planning through completion.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise electrical works at project sites.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts and technical requirements.
- Ensure electrical installations are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and applicable Singapore requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Manage electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians and workers assigned to projects.
- Prepare and review method statements, work schedules, technical submissions and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, material requirements and project timelines.
- Oversee installation, testing, inspection, troubleshooting and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Manage LV electrical systems, distribution boards, cabling, containment, lighting, power and related electrical works.
- Identify technical issues and provide appropriate engineering solutions.
- Attend project coordination, technical and progress meetings with clients and consultants.
- Ensure materials and electrical equipment comply with project requirements and approved specifications.
- Monitor project costs, productivity and resource utilisation.
- Coordinate site inspections, testing activities and project handover requirements.
- Ensure electrical works meet quality, workplace safety and project compliance requirements.
- Review subcontractor work performance, progress claims and completion status.
- Prepare progress reports and provide regular project updates to management.
- Support tender preparation, cost estimation and technical evaluation for new electrical projects.
- Assist management in planning and developing the company’s electrical engineering operations.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Power Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering, electrical installation or construction projects.
- Experience in managing electrical projects, site teams and subcontractors.
- Good knowledge of electrical drawings, specifications, installation methods, testing and commissioning.
- Strong project coordination, technical problem-solving and team management skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and project personnel.
