Junior Software Developer

Statement Of Purpose (Overall Purpose of Job)

To drive operational efficiency and digital transformation from within by designing, building, and maintaining robust internal software applications and intelligent AI automation workflows. This role serves as a vital bridge between everyday business operations and modern technology, replacing manual, repetitive tasks with seamless, automated solutions that empower internal teams to work smarter and faster.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

(A) Specific :

• IT Maintenance & Asset Management: Perform routine system maintenance (including patch updates) and maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records for internal auditing and fixed asset tracking.
• Internal Software & Support: Test, support, and iterate on internal tools, troubleshoot application bugs, and liaise with external vendors and technology partners for technical support and resolution.
• Process & AI Automation: Design and deploy AI-driven automation workflows, prompt-engineered pipelines, and agentic integrations to eliminate manual operational bottlenecks and drive internal efficiency.
• Digital Solutions & Project Execution: Support the development, testing, and deployment of digital solutions, helping transition traditional IT support tasks into streamlined process automation and AI-powered applications.
• Digital Asset & Vendor Coordination: Help manage and maintain organizational digital assets, properties, and technology partnerships to ensure access to modern, up-to-date digital tools.
• Information Security & Confidentiality: Protect the organization's technological assets and proprietary data by strictly maintaining information confidentiality and adhering to IT security standards.

(B) General :

• Internal IT & Technical Support: Deliver responsive, frontline IT support across the company, specializing in troubleshooting internal software systems, applications, and AI-driven tools.
• Operational Support & Ad-Hoc Initiatives: Manage daily technical operations, respond flexibly to ad-hoc departmental requests, and provide rapid problem-solving for emerging tech requirements.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform others duties as assigned and special projects as assigned to support the organization's evolving digital transformation and IT objectives.

(C) Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) :

• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO45001 and other management systems.
• Maintain safely manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefing, if applicable.
• Ensure all employees use propriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), if applicable.
• Identify project site / office hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly.

Job Requirements

(A) Education, Qualifications & Special Training:

• NITEC, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Alternative pathways such as coding bootcamps or strong self-taught portfolios with demonstrable projects will also be considered.
• Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered.

(B) Knowledge & Skills:

• Good working attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to quickly establish good working relationships.
• Good communication skills (Verbal and written).
• In-depth knowledge of hardware and software.
• Required skill(s): Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Ability to design and manage autonomous AI agents using platforms.
• Generative AI/LLMs, Basic Machine Learning concepts.

(C) Experience:

• Preferably with 0 to 2 years of practical software development or scripting experience (internships, academic projects, or personal builds count). Fresh graduates with a strong passion for automation are welcome to apply.
• Hands-on experience with Low-Code/No-Code automation to build cross-departmental workflows.
• A proven track record of moving beyond traditional IT support to successfully lead Process Automation and AI application projects.
• Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting the core hardware/software ecosystem (Servers, Networks, and Endpoint Devices) to ensure a stable foundation for digital tools.
