We have an opportunity within the Home to School Transport Team for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual who enjoys helping families, schools and transport providers to ensure children and young people can access education safely and efficiently.

- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and manage a busy workload.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information professionally and confidentially.
- A positive and flexible attitude.
- Basic DBS clearance.
Working Hours
Transport Allowances Officer 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday. There will be three shifts on a rota basis – 7am –3pm, 8am-4pm and 9am –5pm.
What will you be doing?
Transport Allowances Officer
- Acting as the first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries relating to Home to School Transport.
- Responding to enquiries from parents, carers, schools, transport operators and internal colleagues.
- Recording and updating information accurately on relevant systems including MRI education and databases.
- Monitoring shared mailboxes and ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Providing information and assisting parent's complete application forms
- Assisting with the organisation and distribution of transport-related communications and correspondence.
- Liaising with transport providers, schools and other stakeholders to support service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is stored appropriately.
- Supporting the wider Home to School Transport Team with administrative duties as required.
- Undertaking other grade-appropriate duties when requested.
