Civil Site Engineer

The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for the direct day-to-day supervision and execution of civil and structural works on-site, with a primary focus on concrete works (reinforced and plain concrete) . The role ensures that all construction activities strictly align with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and the project’s timeline. ???? Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision & Leadership: Lead, direct, and monitor daily on-site labor, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure precise execution of structural works.

Concrete Works Management: Oversee all concrete production and pouring phases, including inspecting formwork (carpentry), rebar layout (steel fixing), conducting on-site quality tests (e.g., Slump Test), and managing the pouring and curing processes.

Drawing Implementation: Read, interpret, and implement approved Shop Drawings accurately on the field, proactively identifying and resolving any structural clashes.

Quality & Safety Control (QA/QC & HSE): Enforce strict engineering quality standards and maintain absolute compliance with occupational health and safety regulations on-site to eliminate hazards.

Material Quantity Surveying: Perform accurate quantity take-offs for essential construction materials (steel, concrete, insulation) and coordinate timely material requisitions to prevent project delays.

Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed daily and weekly progress reports to the Project/Site Manager, documenting completed milestones, material consumption, and any on-site bottlenecks.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience: Minimum of [e.g., 3 to 7 years] of solid experience within contracting companies, with a proven track record in heavy concrete structures and civil works.

Technical Skills: Exceptional skills in reading structural drawings and construction details.
