Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kampala. The Technician will install, configure, test, and maintain electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection equipment. Daily tasks include performing site surveys, running and terminating cables, mounting and connecting devices, and ensuring systems are operational and meet quality standards. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, conducting routine maintenance, documenting work performed, and providing basic user guidance to clients. The Technician will collaborate with other team members and follow safety, compliance, and company procedures while working at customer locations. Qualifications

Technical proficiency in installing and maintaining electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, cabling, and networking concepts relevant to security equipment installation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues on-site. Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Capacity to work safely with tools and equipment, follow established procedures, and adhere to health and safety standards. Willingness to work in the field, including travel within Kampala and surrounding areas, and occasionally work outside standard hours if required. Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, ICT, or a related field; prior experience in security systems installation is an advantage.
