Project Manager – API Gateway

Your tasks

Oversee and optimize API Gateway operations, ensuring system health, security compliance, and platform reliability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, vendor management, and cross-team collaboration.

• Monitor daily API Gateway operations, system health, API traffic, and performance metrics to ensure optimal functionality
• Investigate and resolve API connectivity, authentication, HTTP errors, timeouts, and performance issues to maintain service continuity
• Analyze logs, alerts, and monitoring dashboards to perform root cause analysis and support incident resolution
• Manage external vendors by tracking SLAs, reviewing technical recommendations, and following up on unresolved issues to ensure service quality
• Coordinate platform upgrades, security patching, configuration changes, vulnerability remediation, and preventive maintenance to maintain system integrity
• Ensure compliance with government ICT security policies, audits, and access reviews to uphold regulatory standards
• Facilitate API onboarding, access provisioning, configuration changes, and integration testing to support new and existing services
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, technical documentation, and operational reports for knowledge sharing and process consistency
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud teams to enhance platform reliability and performance

Requirements

Required competencies and certifications

• Experience in IT operations, application support, or enterprise systems support
• Proficiency in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Strong troubleshooting, log analysis, and root cause investigation skills applied to API and system issues
• Working knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, REST APIs, JSON data format, SSL/TLS encryption, and API authentication methods
• Understanding of DNS, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and network connectivity to diagnose and resolve network-related issues
• Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments for system support
• Skills in vendor coordination, SLA monitoring, and maintenance management to ensure service delivery
• Strong ownership, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills to drive issue resolution and team collaboration
