Product Development Engineer, NPI

Your tasks

Job Responsibilities

• Manage products from development and testing through to mass production and end-of-life.
• Coordinate new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds and production transfers between sites.
• Work with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product launches.
• Monitor production readiness, product quality and manufacturing yield.
• Maintain product documentation, BOM and engineering changes in SAP.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure components are ready for production.
• Review test results and support improvements in product quality, cost and manufacturing efficiency.
• Travel between Singapore and Malaysia to support product and production activities.

Requirements

Role Requirement

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Development / NPI / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of product lifecycle and manufacturing processes
• Ability to speak Mandarin as this role requires you to liaise with stakeholder & customers based in China
• Exposure to BOM, SAP & ECN processes is advantageous
• Familiarity with DFM, PFMEA, prototype/pilot builds & production release
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills
