Pay Rate and Working Hours:

36.5 hours per week

  • £17.70 per hour day shift
  • £21.24 per hour afternoon shift
  • £23.90 per hour night shift
  • £26.55 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday
  • £35.40 per hour overtime Sundays

Rate: £17.70 (up to £35.40) plus regular overtime and monthly bonuses

Shifts:

  • Days: Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00. Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
  • Back shift: Monday - Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00. Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
  • Night shift: Monday - Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00. Friday, 17:00 - 21:30

About you:

To be successful in this role, the candidates will need to be a self-starter, open minded and enthusiastic with a 'can-do / will-do' attitude and demonstrate competencies in:

  • Welding experience with knowledge of modern welding techniques (beneficial, but not essential)
  • Previous experience working with weld sets, ancillary & OTE equipment (beneficial, but not essential)
  • Communication / written & oral.
  • Understanding of health and safety
  • Flexible to work across all shifts.
  • Good PC skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Adaptability.
  • Understanding & use of Engineering drawings.
  • Current Product & Process knowledge.
  • Problem Solving.
  • Initiative & Innovation.

Job Details:

The successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Work to targets and deadlines.
  • Actively contributing to improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with Weld compliance manager, Weld Trainer, CAV SMEs and Operations Supervision to collaborate on process adherence
  • Be comfortable with shop floor and office-based working.
  • Be flexible in working techniques (dayshift, backshift and nightshift)
  • Be able to deliver reports / presentations on findings and recommendations to value stream leadership.
  • Willing to undertake training and further learning as required.
