Production Technician
Are you looking to launch your career in the life sciences sector? We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our Technical Operations team in Dundee. This is a fantastic opportunity for a science graduate or a practically minded individual to gain hands-on experience in a high-standard, regulated manufacturing environment. What you will do Solution Manufacturing: Safely produce rare reagents, intermediates, and bulk chemical/biological solutions in strict accordance with the master schedule and established operating procedures.
Compliance & Documentation: Adhere precisely to standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will take full accountability for maintaining accurate, high-quality documentation.
System Logging: Utilise Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) for daily data entry and document management.
Workload Management: Manage your daily production targets independently once assignments have been received, ensuring all tasks are delivered on time.
Quality & Safety: Collaborate with the Quality Control team, participate in safety initiatives, perform root cause analysis (RCA) on production issues, and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
What we are looking for Core Skills: Strong basic numeracy for accurate calculations, excellent spoken and written English, and a practical, hands-on aptitude for manufacturing tasks.
Digital Literacy: Confident computer skills for navigating internal databases and software.
Professional Attributes: A disciplined, thorough approach to work with a strong commitment to following safety regulations and protocols.
What we offer Competitive Pay: £15.88 per hour.
Working Schedule: 2-weekly rotating shifts (Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 | Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00).
Contract Type: Temporary (7 months initially, with the potential for extension).
Environment: A supportive, small-team environment within a world-class life sciences facility in Dundee.
