• Capturing and translating complex customer requirements into clear system specifications and acceptance criteria for Eurofighter training simulators
• Designing the technical roadmap together with the system and software engineering team, including the breakdown of requirements into milestones
• Responsibility and prioritization of the Product Backlog, balancing new features, technical optimizations, and customer feedback
• Steering the development of user-centered, high-performance user interfaces with Qt/QML, taking usability and system architecture into account
• Carrying out risk management activities to proactively identify and resolve potential interface problems before product delivery
• Steering and monitoring cooperation with external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless system integration
• Successfully completed university degree (Master or Diplom) in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable engineering course of study
• Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) across the entire systems engineering lifecycle of simulation projects
• Sound knowledge of modern software development methods (Agile, DevOps-Pipelines, containerization) as well as practical experience with C++ and Qt/QML
• Demonstrable experience in managing external suppliers and subcontractors; understanding of military aircraft systems and operational procedures is an advantage
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing, as well as a proactive and solution-oriented way of working
• Willingness to undergo a security clearance (Ü2 clearance required)

Framework conditions for the position

• Working hours: Full-time (35.00 hours/week)
• Salary range: €75,000 – €95,000 gross/year (based on classification ERA EG 12 Bavaria incl. industry-standard tariff and performance bonuses)
