System Safety Engineer (m/w/d)

• Performance of safety assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment / System Safety Assessment) for military aircraft and systems up to certification
• Creation of risk analyses in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards to support continuous aircraft development (incl. flight permit / type certification)
• Performance of Common-Cause-Analyses (e.g., Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis)
• Definition and management of safety requirements, safety evidence (tests, simulations, analyses) as well as safety procedures and constraints at the interfaces to other specialist departments
• Co-design and influence on the development of aircraft and system architectures, taking into account the required safety and integrity standards
• Interface function to internal and external stakeholders (Chief Engineering, Project Management, development teams, certification authorities, industry partners, customers, and suppliers)
• Review, approval, and application of supplier data with regard to system and reliability safety

• Successfully completed studies in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a comparable course of study (at least Master / Diplom)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering with interfaces to safety assessments, airworthiness, or certification, as well as a sound understanding of aircraft systems
• Very good knowledge of common safety tools (e.g., Isograph FaultTree+, Reliability Workbench) as well as detailed MS-Office user knowledge
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing; German skills are an advantage
• Careful, structured, and safety-oriented way of working as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Salary range: approx. €65,000 – €78,000 gross annual salary (based on the classification ERA EG 10 Bavaria / BAP E9)
