• Design and implementation of real-time capable simulation services of the Synthetic Environment in C++
• Conception and implementation of robust software interfaces (APIs) between distributed services and external simulator systems
• Development and continuous maintenance of modular C++ software solutions to map operational and technical requirements (e.g., for Eurofighter, SIRTAP, and Eurodrone simulators)
• Co-design and further development of the service-oriented software architecture within the framework of the Airbus Common Synthetic Environment (ACSE) project
• Integration of the developed services into CI/CD pipelines including automated test integration as well as application of established DevOps methods
• Execution of error and root cause analyses in distributed software systems, troubleshooting, as well as documentation of design, interfaces, and tests

• Successfully completed university degree (at least Master or Diplom) in Computer Science or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of demonstrable professional experience in object-oriented software development with modern C++ as well as sound practical experience in asynchronous programming
• Proven experience in the development of distributed and service-oriented software systems (experience with synthetic environments for training simulators is an advantage)
• Proficient handling of development tools such as CMake, Conan2, Git, Jenkins as well as Docker or Podman
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
• Goal-oriented, proactive way of working, strong teamwork skills as well as willingness to undergo the security clearance procedure (Ü2-Überprüfung)

Framework Conditions & Compensation

• Working hours: Full-time (35 hours / week or 152.25 hours / month)
• Classification: ERA Bayern, Entgeltgruppe 11 (EG 11)
• Salary range (gross annual salary): approx. €75,000 – €90,000 p. a. (depending on qualification, professional experience, as well as including collective agreement special payments and equal-pay adjustment according to Airbus standard)
