Sr/Injection Molding Process Engineer - NPI (4 Openings)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead injection moulding process development for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Ensure the successful transfer of validated moulding processes into mass production.
• Plan and execute mould trials, establish optimal machine settings utilizing scientific moulding principles, and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Lead comprehensive process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and prepare all necessary process instructions, setup sheets, and manufacturing standards.
• Conduct systematic troubleshooting, fault resolution, and process optimization. Perform capability studies to resolve process and tooling-related problems during production and achieve overall quality goals.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of moulds. Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, initiate engineering changes, manage preventive maintenance programs, and track service records.
• Provide technical guidance during equipment and tooling reviews, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Implement productivity and continuous improvement programs across the plant to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Polymer/Plastic Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in injection moulding process engineering, specifically in setting up, optimizing, and maintaining injection moulding machines.
• Prior experience in medical, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with common injection moulding machines and control systems (e.g., Engel, Sumitomo, Nissei).
• Sound knowledge of thermoplastic materials and their distinct processing characteristics.
• Strong technical knowledge of scientific moulding, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis.
