Your tasks

• Step into a pivotal application support position driving the resilience, availability, and operational continuous improvement of core banking systems.
• Direct day-to-day application health, technical incident resolution, root-cause investigation, and capacity planning for critical platforms.
• Lead operational remediation activities and communicate system updates clearly to business unit leadership and technical teams.
• Develop automated scripts and workflows to streamline operational tasks and boost overall service performance.
• Coordinate core operational events including maintenance windows, system patching, and annual business continuity exercises.
• Collaborate across multi-tier support teams and external technology vendors to satisfy strict service level targets.

Requirements

skills and experience required.

• Strong background in enterprise application support or system administration within mission-critical financial environments.
• Hands-on proficiency in Red Hat Linux, Unix Shell scripting, Python automation, and Java application performance troubleshooting.
• Operational familiarity with database platforms including Oracle and MS SQL, alongside exposure to enterprise messaging protocols such as IBM MQ, Connect Direct, or SFTP.
• Practical involvement in technical disaster recovery exercises and resiliency framework execution.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and operational ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or BMC Helix following ITIL standards.
