NPI Process Engineer (Injection Molding)
Company Overview Our client is a leading high-precision manufacturer operating a dedicated New Product Introduction (NPI) Centre of Excellence. We are partnering with them to hire a specialist to establish and transfer robust manufacturing processes into production. The Role You will spearhead the development, validation, and industrialisation of injection moulding processes for new products. This is a strategic, project-driven position focused purely on NPI. Key Responsibilities Lead moulding process development and define robust strategies for NPI programmes.
Execute mould trials (T0 to T3) and establish precise process windows utilising scientific moulding principles and DOE.
Drive end-to-end process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and define critical process control parameters.
Provide technical leadership during DFM evaluations, tool design reviews, and Moldflow analysis.
Support FAT and SAT for tooling and automation, ensuring the successful handover of validated processes to the production team.
Requirements Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of injection moulding process engineering experience, with a strong focus on supporting NPI programmes.
Deep understanding of scientific moulding principles; RJG or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of hot runner systems, SPC, process capability (Cp/Cpk), and Root Cause Analysis.
Experience in medical, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing environments is advantageous.
