About the Job
Support the firm’s data management framework by executing strategies across records lifecycle management, legal hold compliance, and data privacy initiatives.
Partner with legal counsel to oversee document preservation, eDiscovery collections, and search workflows using platforms such as Microsoft Purview.
Facilitate seamless electronic file transfers during client onboarding, matter transitions, and client-directed file releases while driving operational efficiency.
Oversee data disposition processes across physical files, email archives, and litigation databases in accordance with retention schedules and court mandates.
Serve as a cross-functional liaison between legal teams and IT to address technical challenges involving systems like iManage or NetDocuments.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or at least 3 years of records management, information governance, or IT experience in professional services (e.g., law firms).
- Proven technical proficiency with eDiscovery tools (Microsoft Purview), document management systems (iManage / NetDocuments), and email management tools (such as .PST files).
- Strong practical understanding of data storage, media migration, records preservation techniques, and end-to-end legal document lifecycles.
- Hands-on exposure to data privacy principles, APAC/Hong Kong regulatory frameworks, and ethical wall platforms (e.g., Intapp Walls).
- Professional certifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP) or experience with AI governance practices are advantageous.
