Your tasks
about the job Inspect, test, maintain, and respond to fire emergency systems to ensure full operational readiness and compliance across industrial site operations.
- Emergency Response & Monitoring: Serve as first responder for fire emergency calls, operate main fire control consoles, and handle site fire surveillance and standby duties during high-risk operations.
- System Inspection & Maintenance: Perform weekly and monthly testing, repairs, and maintenance on critical fire safety equipment including fire pumps, sprinkler systems, foam releases, and fire panels.
- Equipment Servicing: Dismantle, inspect, and hydrostatically test fire extinguishers, replacing worn components and maintaining emergency showers and eyewash stations.
- Safety & Training Support: Assist the Fire Safety Manager with site safety inspections, training sessions, and continuous monitoring of fire alarm systems.
Requirements
skills and experience required
- Ready to respond quickly to fire incidents, emergencies, and heavy-duty maintenance tasks.
- Practical familiarity with fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, Honeywell control systems) and hot work safety protocols.
- Familiarity with SIAEC Quality & Safety manual
