Your tasks

about the job Joining a dedicated platform engineering division, this individual contributor position acts as the principal subject matter expert and senior technical anchor for the enterprise's DevOps infrastructure ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring peak system availability, resilience, security, and operational reliability across hybrid environments, while driving automation and technology lifecycle initiatives.

Key responsibilities include

• Oversee the core infrastructure supporting the DevOps ecosystem—including OpenShift container environments, virtual machines, cloud landing zones, and web middleware platforms. Drive continuous platform optimization and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) adoption.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve platform incidents, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to restore peak operations swiftly and maintain service-level agreements.
• Plan and execute infrastructure refresh cycles, obsolescence remediation, vulnerability management, patching schedules, and SSL renewals. Lead audit readiness efforts, evidence collection, and maintain compliance against corporate security frameworks.
• Develop custom scripts and automated workflows to streamline provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and regular maintenance across all infrastructure tools.
• Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery drills, business continuity testing, and proactive performance monitoring to support organizational growth.

Requirements

skills and experience required

• Technical expertise in Linux system administration, platform engineering, or core infrastructure operations.
• Experience managing Red Hat OpenShift (or enterprise Kubernetes platforms) for at least 5 years.
• Hands-on experience provisioning and managing cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) alongside enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux).
• Strong hands-on mastery of automation and CI/CD toolsets (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD) and scripting proficiency in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with web/middleware solutions including Apache HTTP Server, Nginx, load balancers, reverse proxies, and TLS/SSL certificate lifecycle maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience handling infrastructure security hardening, vulnerability management, disaster recovery planning, and audit compliance workflows.
