They are currently looking for a motivated IT professional to join their technical support team and help maintain high-quality service delivery for their end-users. about the job: As a Desktop Security Engineer , you will safeguard the organization's IT endpoint ecosystem and protect user environments against emerging cyber threats. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will combine day-to-day desktop administration with proactive cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with digital safety standards. Your key responsibilities are: Manage endpoint security maintenance, including routine OS patching, system hardening, and application remediation across Windows, macOS, and standard productivity tools. Serve as an incident responder for end-user security events, such as analyzing email phishing attempts, coordinating immediate containment, and drafting incident summaries. Evaluate threat intelligence bulletins, perform localized risk assessments, and implement mitigative actions. Assess and implement endpoint security controls, conduct pre-travel security checks, and support software whitelisting requests. Deliver cybersecurity awareness briefings and hygiene workshops to onboarded staff and existing employees. Monitor compliance against internal security frameworks, review standard operating procedures, and conduct vulnerability checks to minimize operational risk. skills and experience required: Experience supporting desktop environments across both Windows and macOS platforms. Practical background in endpoint security, including phishing analysis, security incident handling, and policy implementation. Strong familiarity with endpoint management tools, patch deployment, and vulnerability remediation. Relevant professional credentials (e.g., Microsoft Certifications, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity qualifications) are advantageous.
