As the Autumn Term gets under way, our partner secondary schools across Liverpool are actively recruiting passionate, dependable Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.

We are looking for individuals with proven experience working in educational, SEN, or youth support environments to hit the ground.

If you have a background in mainstream schools, special educational needs (SEN) settings, or targeted youth care, we have immediate full-time, part-time, and long-term contract roles available across the city.

This role requires prior hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • School Support: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or Cover Supervisor.
  • SEN & Care Background: Experience working with neurodivergent youth (Autism/ASC, ADHD, SEMH, SLCN) in schools, residential care, or respite centres.
  • Support & Youth Work: Experienced Pastoral Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Behaviour Specialists, or Sports Coaches with a track record of supporting 11-16-year-olds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist subject teachers across Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 (GCSE) classrooms, ensuring students stay engaged and on task.
  • Lead targeted literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific catch-up sessions to help students meet their learning targets.
  • Utilise proven techniques to manage classroom behaviour, de-escalate disruptions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Act as a positive role model, building professional relationships with disengaged or vulnerable students to boost confidence and attendance.
  • Assist teachers with mock exams and assessments, including acting as a reader, scribe, or invigilator when needed.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: Rates reflective of your experience, paid weekly via PAYE.
  • Flexible Working Models: Long-term placements, fixed block contracts, or flexible day-to-day supply.
  • Free CPD Courses: Access to ongoing professional development modules including Safeguarding, Behavior Management, and Classroom Practice.
  • £300 Referral Bonus: Earn £300 in vouchers for every qualified teacher you refer to us!
