Core Responsibilities Provide high-quality day-to-day emotional, practical, and physical support to young people within therapeutic and secure residential settings.
Establish trusting relationships, act as a positive role model, and help develop essential life skills, daily routines, and educational engagement.
Manage complex or challenging behaviors using specialized physical and verbal de-escalation techniques.
Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records in line with Care Inspectorate and regulatory standards.
Collaborate closely with social workers, educators, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to implement personalized care plans.
Requirements Experience in residential childcare, social care, youth work, or high-support mental health environments is desirable.
SSSC registration or a commitment to register within required regulatory timeframes.
Valid UK Driving Licence (essential for community-based roles).
Strong emotional resilience, active listening skills, and the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries under pressure.
