• Hybrid Fleet Specialist Mechanic

At Randstad, we are looking for a Hybrid Fleet Specialist Mechanic to join a large-scale mining project.

The selected person will be part of the pioneering team responsible for the assembly, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of the first fleet of 90 TN hybrid off-road trucks in the region.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assembly and maintenance: Participate in the reception, mounting, commissioning from scratch, and maintenance (preventive, predictive, and corrective) of hybrid off-road trucks.
• Technical diagnosis: Perform mechanical and thermal/electrical coupling diagnostics. Intervene in the interaction of the thermal engine, generator, battery bank, supercapacitors, retarders, and inverters.
• Component intervention: Execute changes of major components (thermal engines, battery packs, reducers) and minor components, applying safe lifting techniques.
• Safety and procedures: Strictly comply with residual energy control standards (LOTO Bi-Clase) and high-energy safety protocols.
• Technical analysis: Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints. Prepare failure reports, root cause analysis, and field reports.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Graduated Mechanical Technician at a tertiary level (mandatory).
• Experience: More than 5 years of verifiable experience in heavy equipment maintenance (mining, quarries, or construction) or diesel-electric/hybrid propulsion systems (mandatory).
• Driver's license: Current Class B2 license or higher (mandatory).
• Languages: Intermediate English level (mandatory).
• Desirable knowledge: Previous experience in open-pit mining or work in high mountains. Use of manufacturer diagnostic software, SAP (Work Management), and Excel. Specific knowledge in XCMG hybrid equipment or similar.

Hiring Conditions and Location:

• Location: Continuous work in high mountain areas.
• Working day: Work regime under a 14x14 roster with on-site camp.
• Work modality: In-person.
