- Medium Voltage Electrical Specialist (HV/MV)
- At Randstad, we are looking for a Medium Voltage Electrical Specialist (HV/MV) to join a large-scale open-pit mining project.
- The selected person will be part of the technical team responsible for the assembly, commissioning, and integral maintenance of a new heavy fleet of off-road trucks with hybrid technology and electric traction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Specialized maintenance and diagnosis: Execute predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of Medium Voltage systems (HV/MV transmission systems and dual inverter) and Low Voltage (control and monitoring).
- Traction and high energy: Act as a technical reference in the diagnosis of electric traction systems, frequency converters, rectifiers, dynamic retarders, and high-energy battery/supercapacitor banks.
- High voltage safety: Apply safe high-voltage isolation maneuvers, residual energy control (LOTO), insulation measurement, and grounding under strict safety protocols.
- Integral intervention: Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical, electronic, pneumatic-assisted, and hydraulic systems. Interpret electrical blueprints and power integration schemes.
- Technical management: Define the replacement of major and minor components, preparing failure reports, root cause analysis, and service reports.
What are we looking for?
- Education: Electronic Technician, Electromechanical Technician, or Electrical Engineer with current Medium Voltage certification (mandatory).
- Professional license: Enabling professional license (mandatory).
- Experience: More than 5 years of verifiable experience in Medium Voltage electrical maintenance in heavy equipment, mobile equipment, or hybrid/diesel-electric propulsion systems (mandatory).
- Driver's license: Current Class B2 license or higher (mandatory).
- Languages: Intermediate English level (mandatory).
- Desirable knowledge: Previous experience in mobile equipment maintenance in the mining industry or large industrial operations. Use of maintenance management tools (SAP, Excel, Power BI).
- Location and residence: Residing in the province of San Juan or availability to relocate.
Hiring Conditions and Location:
- Location: San Juan (operation in high mountain areas).
- Working day: Work regime under a 14x14 roster with on-site camp.
- Work modality: In-person.
