MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Requirements:
- Minimum Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevantfrom a recognized University.
- Minimum 10 years’ of relevant mechanical maintenance experiencein large scale building / civil projects with main contractor in CivilConstruction Projects, Precast Concrete projects in Construction environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit or BIM software.
- Experience with concrete batchingplants, mixers, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, mouldingequipment, and lifting systems will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumaticsystems.
Job Description:
- Plan, supervise, and carry outpreventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment used in precastconcrete production.
- Maintain and troubleshoot precastproduction machinery, including concrete batching plants, mixers, conveyors,moulding systems, lifting equipment, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose mechanical breakdownsand identify the root cause of equipment failures to minimize productiondowntime.
- Develop and implement preventivemaintenance schedules for machinery and production equipment.
- Inspect mechanical componentssuch as bearings, gears, chains, belts, shafts, couplings, hydraulic cylinders,valves, and pumps.
- Coordinate with production andsite teams to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely withoutaffecting production schedules.
- Monitor the condition andperformance of machinery and recommend repair, replacement, or upgrading ofequipment when required.
- Supervise mechanical repair,installation, alignment, dismantling, and commissioning of equipment.
- Maintain proper records ofequipment breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, andmaintenance history.
- Manage inventory of criticalmechanical spare parts, tools, lubricants, and maintenance consumables.
- Coordinate with externalcontractors and equipment suppliers for major repairs, servicing, and technicalsupport.
- Inspect and maintain hydraulicand pneumatic systems used in precast production machinery.
- Carry out equipment inspectionsand ensure machinery is operating according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in the installation,modification, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and productionlines.
- Review equipment manuals,technical drawings, maintenance procedures, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improveequipment reliability, production efficiency, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure all maintenance activitiescomply with company WSH, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections ofmachinery to identify potential safety hazards and mechanical defects.
- Prepare maintenance reports andprovide regular updates to management on equipment condition, breakdowns, andmaintenance activities.
- Train and guide technicians andmaintenance workers on proper operation, inspection, and maintenanceprocedures.
- Coordinate maintenance activitiesduring planned production shutdowns and ensure equipment is returned to servicesafely.
- Support investigations intorecurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Production,QA/QC, Safety, and Project teams to maintain uninterrupted precast production.
- Performany other mechanical maintenance and engineering duties assigned by management.
