What matters here is the will to grow, contribute, and make a difference.We are looking for a person to act as Port Operations Specialist I, joining the Maritime and Port Operations team, operating in Rio de Janeiro. This person will be responsible for supporting and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of port and maritime operations related to the movement of fuels and derivatives, focusing on bunker operations, acting in the evaluation and approval of vessels, monitoring inspections, operational releases, and supporting lubricants factory operations and fuel distribution. In addition to operational activities, they will interface with different areas and suppliers, supporting audits, approval of new partners, implementation of new routes, and projects related to maritime and river operations, contributing to the safety, quality, and compliance of processes. Modality: Teletrabalho Work Location: Rio de Janeiro/RJ The position is in a telework regime, with dedicated action to operations in Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, it is necessary to have availability for occasional travel to units and operations, whenever necessary to monitor activities.

Responsibilities and assignments

🎯HOW YOUR DAY TO DAY WILL BE:

• Act in the support and monitoring of port and maritime operations, focusing on bunker operations and the movement of fuels and derivatives;
• Support Truck to Ship operations, involving the refueling of vessels by means of trucks;
• Perform the evaluation, approval, and release of vessels for operation, including monitoring necessary requirements and documentation;
• Support Vetting, SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Programme), and BIRE (Barge Inspection Report Programme) processes, related to the evaluation and approval of vessels;
• Monitor and support the performance of inspections on vessels and port operations;
• Provide support to the lubricants factory operations in Rio de Janeiro, including performing and monitoring checklists and monitoring operations;
• Support fuel distribution through maritime and river operations, ensuring compliance with operational and documentary requirements;
• Monitor action plans resulting from inspections, audits, and operational evaluations;
• Support internal and external audits, including audits related to Shell standards and requirements;
• Participate in projects for the approval of new suppliers and the implementation of new routes and logistical solutions;
• Act together with suppliers, partners, and other areas involved in operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures;
• Support the identification of improvement opportunities and contribute to the evolution of processes and operational standards;
• Maintain interface with international teams, participating in forums and committees related to maritime and river operations.

Requirements and qualifications

🔎WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Completed degree;
• Experience in port, maritime, and/or river operations;
• Knowledge in bunker operations and movement of fuels and derivatives;
• Knowledge in Ship to Ship (STS) and Truck to Ship operations;
• Knowledge of Vetting and SIRE, including vessel evaluation and approval processes;
• Knowledge of ISGOTT (International Safety Guide for Oil Tankers and Terminals);
• Knowledge of standards and procedures related to operational safety and the environment;
• Knowledge of movement, storage, loading, and unloading processes of cargo;
• Knowledge related to product quality, especially fuels and derivatives, such as diesel S10, diesel S500, and ethanol;
• Knowledge in preventive maintenance;
• Advanced English;
• Availability for travel, as required by operations.

Differentials:

• Experience with vessel refueling operations and/or bunker operations;
• Experience with vessel evaluation, inspection, and approval;
• Experience with operations involving fuels and petroleum derivatives;
• Experience in audits, management of action plans, and supplier approval;
• Experience with projects related to the implementation of new routes or logistical solutions.
